Use an editing template when you already have the photos or footage to cut. Use photo-to-video generation when you need new footage of your people in a scene. A service may offer both, so inspect the actual template or tool rather than assuming from its brand name.
What to check in a template
Search the app's template area for Raindance if that feature is available to your account. Preview the media slots, required number of photos, sound segment and export settings. Check whether any element requires payment. Availability varies; this page does not link to an unverified template or claim one is universally free.
What to check in AI generation
Does it accept one or two identity photos? Does the lead remain consistent in the solo close-up? Does it take an environment reference? Does the output include audio, and does that audio actually drive the lips? These are different capabilities.
