Pruna AI p-video: An API Is Only One Part of a Music Video

Understand the difference between a video model API and a complete portrait-to-MV workflow, including identity, task recovery and sound.

Pruna AI is a different kind of search from “make my couple video.” Its p-video documentation describes a video model API. If you are building an application, that is a place to investigate supported inputs and request fields. If you only want a finished personal clip, you may prefer a product that already handles photo preparation, job status and downloading.

Model choice comes after the shot brief

Before selecting an API, describe the intended picture. A two-person performance needs distinct identity references and stable role assignments. A party entrance needs a clear path, grounded steps and a readable pause. The model name alone does not tell you whether your implementation will keep those details intact.

Read the current Pruna documentation for accepted inputs, available settings, authentication and result delivery. Do not assume a model accepts video references, audio or a particular length because another endpoint does. This guide does not reproduce an API example whose fields or defaults may change, and it does not claim we have benchmarked p-video.

A submitted request is not a finished workflow

A product still needs to validate uploads, quote the actual cost, track the task and recover it when the browser closes. After generation it must show the result and provide a usable download. If a request times out, a blind resubmission can create an additional billable job. Keep the task identifier and use the provider's documented status mechanism before deciding what happened.

For a duet, review each face independently across the clip. For a walking shot, inspect foot contact and fingers. Then check the audio path. A video model API should not be assumed to provide a song license or a lyric-aligned performance. Those requirements belong in your design and verification plan.

Where this site fits

Raindance AI is a ready-made photo-performance workflow, not a Pruna front end. We have not integrated Pruna or p-video and do not provide a Pruna model selector. Our fixed duet MV has its own generation and separate fixed-audio lip-sync pipeline. Other scenes, including the banquet entrance, produce silent clips for music editing elsewhere.

Choose the API when you want to build and maintain those controls yourself. Choose a ready-made scene when its actual composition matches your intended result. Neither route is automatically cheaper or better: you need the provider's current charges, your retry rate and a finished output before making that comparison.
